The Company:
Mayo Hardware is a successful privately-owned Australian company that has a reputation for quality and excellence in the distribution of outdoor lifestyle, hardware and security products throughout Australia, New Zealand and selected export markets.
Role
You will be responsible for managing a range of product portfolios within Mayo Hardware’s outdoor lifestyle categories.
As product manager, you will take ultimate responsibility for your portfolio’s performance with key responsibilities that include:
- Develop and drive the annual strategy for assigned categories
- Portfolio reporting with detailed performance insights
- Complete product lifecycle management
- New product development initiatives
- Generating marketing collateral including launch packs and training guides
- Development of POS and merchandising concepts
- Assisting with customer submissions and presenting to channel partners
- Managing supplier relationships and negotiations
Job tasks and responsibilities
What’s required?
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience with Retail Hardware channel (preferred but not required)
- At least 5 years experience in Product Management
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing or business
- A track record of successfully commercialising products
- Professional presentation skills
- Strong negotiation skills and experience dealing with overseas suppliers
- Highly organised, self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent computer literacy including MS Office
